EP Buddy's AB Clip

EP Buddy has released a great product for the RC Hobby. The AB Clip.

This clip simply clamps over the balance connectors on your lipo packs to provide strain relief and a nice grip for connecting and disconnecting.

Here's how it works. I bought some for 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S, and 6S, but these pics show me putting one on a 3S 1300 pack.

You then place the balance connector into the corresponsing side in the AB clip. It can only fit one way. It might be a little confusing at first, but after you get one on, it'll be second nature from then on. Look at the picture below to see how it sits in the open AB Clip. My quick tip is to hold the wires down into their corresponding slots to make sure they sit correctly when the clip is closed.

Then, simply close the AB Clip over and you're done!

Now you're set to charge with a very nice piece of plastic to grip without having to pull the wires!

I used these extensively this past weekend and I really enjoy them. The one downside is that they do add a little bulk to the pack...and in tight situations in an airframe, it "might" cause problems, but just be aware of the airframe it's going into and make a judgement call on if it makes sense to you.

Enjoy! and make sure you show EPBuddy.com of Columbus, OH some love.

Hey everyone, just wanted to show the newest plane in my collection.

FMS released this on Fri/Sat last week (1/28/12) and I ordered it immediately from pw-rc.com on the 28th, and it just arrived this morning, 2-3-12.

Here's how it arrived. Very nicely double wrapped in a garbage bag material and then a clear wrap.

The plane came perfectly with no damage. A few people in the forums have been wondering how/where the battery hatch is, so I took a few pics:

More info to come soon. I'm going to try to have this built and maidened tomorrow night at a indoor fly-in in Geneva, OH.
